Slide Records

Slide Record Shop is an independent record shop that opened in Bedford in 2017. We champion great independent music across many genres. We stock a host of new music on vinyl, as well as having a carefully curated selection of second-hand records. A family business, the shop is run by Warren Alsop, a long-time music lover, vinyl addict, and occasional DJ and his wife Nerys Bannister, fellow music lover and new music obsessive. They are sometimes assisted by the two little Slides, who are pretty useful with a price-gun. 

Since we opened our doors we’ve celebrated Record Store Day for the first time, we’ve put on children’s DJ lessons, celebrated International Women’s Day, and had brilliant acts perform live in the shop. We feel proud of what we have created: a welcoming space to feed your passion for music and discover great records.
